Sigemund
and Fitela had a plan. In the dead of night, approaching from
the south, Sigemund swam slowly, pausing every now and then to
lie on his back and squirt water like a whale.
Meanwhile Fitela circled to
the north end of the rock and crept up onto the sand. His size
was a help to him here because the dragon, who slept with one
head always awake, didn't notice him because of his small size.
