Rules for Effective Film Viewing
- Know the purpose for watching the film.
- Be familiar with the film.
- Introduce film by having students discuss
what they already know or have heard about the film.
- Read what others have to say about the film.
- Research to learn about the director, actor,
and any other interesting fact about the film.
- Students should learn the language of film.
- Discuss the film as it is being viewed.\
- Give or suggest topics or specifics to look
for each day.
- Plan a summary activity.
- Offer suggestions for out of class work.
